Guess that means Fresno is on tap for the Pilots?

Edit: wrong as usual, Fresno is hosting Youngstown State. I guess there’ll be a cross country trip on tap for someone to visit Portland. Or else they just would have sent the Pilots to Fresno, right?

He was supposed to play on senior night, but the game ended up being too close. Tonight we took a technical for playing a player not on the roster or in the scorebook. Not sure if he was in the scorebook for senior night or if we would have had to take a technical then as well.

UTEP plays Southern Utah. So we play ??? So as soon as someone finds out please post. Thanks

As of 40 minutes ago, no one knows where UP will play next.

First it was Fresno, but then it looked like El Paso, but then Southern Utah said they were going to play UTEP...

I am told it may be tomorrow before we know...

I have seen his name on the ESPN version of the team roster for a couple weeks. I wondered what that was about.

Merrimack?  The Merrimack in Maryland?  Their Basketball Classic game against Maryland Baltimore County was canceled and they have not played since February 26.  

They'd better be coming here...

Well, Merrimack has completely disappeared from the Classic's site and DoubleDipper's scenario is exactly what the schedule page now suggests.

Looks like Portland will have a game against someone on "Thursday March 23" or "Friday March 24" which I take to mean either the 24th or 25th

Likely won't be Youngstown St. or Fresno St., too quick a turnaround from their game Wednesday.

All the other schools have comparable NET rankings, except USC Upstate at 274 and Fresno St. at 73. I wonder if Pilots will be traveling. It would be tougher for a team to play a game and then travel to UP, so I anticipate the Pilots will be traveling to whoever is assigned or agrees to play us.

Did we refuse to play Merrimack possibly? Did Merrimack refuse to travel and drop out? This "tournament" is kind of a cluster. Reseeding every round...ok, but there's no clear procedure on how they'll resolve the fact they have a number of teams that isn't 8, 16, or 32.

Merrimack was one of original invitees and was supposed to play Maryland Baltimore County in the first round, but UMBC went deep into the American East Tournament, finally being blown-out by Vermont, and elected not to play in the "Classic," leaving Merrimack without a game.  Merrimack has not played since February 26.

The UMBC men's basketball team will be unable to compete in The Basketball Classic presented by Eracism.

As the team gathered on Tuesday afternoon for the first time since returning from Burlington in the early morning hours on Sunday, it was determined that there were not enough healthy players able to compete on Wednesday.
