What a great idea…I’m generally critical of the NCAA, but finally deciding to move the D-2 and D-3 finals to the D-1 Final Four city gives me some hope for the NCAA’s decision making…..but only if the decision is a permanent one.

Wow…what a game. I’ve seen of lot of championship games, but I think the Louisville – Michigan game tonight was the best!! It reminded me of the street ball games I used to be a part of in Oakland….skilled warfare!!

Very, very impressed by the physical fitness and camaraderie/brotherhood of the Louisville team….and Rick Pitino is truly worthy of his HOF selection based upon how he brought so many young and talented players together as ONE team!

Michigan put up a great fight, but why in the world did their coach tell his team to wait to “foul the right guy” in the last two 90 seconds of the game….they had two fouls to give!! It made no sense. And keeping the National Player of the Year out of the game with two fouls when Louisville’s Hancock was hitting those 4 X 3’s at the end of the first half again made no sense….he should have been handling the ball, avoiding the turnovers, and pushing Michigan’s offense.

Regardless, Michigan is young and really good….I hope they can keep their team together and come back.

Finally, I assume those were the best refs in the NCAA based upon them working the championship game…..really? There were way too many wrong or missed calls on Saturday and again tonight….I guess the game has just gotten too fast for them.

Oh, and congratulations to blacksheep…I look forward to Las Vegas in 2014

^^^^ My least favorite part of the NCAA Tourney. So damn cheesy, I turn the television off every time it starts, or at least mute it so I don't have to listen to the song.

Darn you, DTR, CBS must have heard your complaints and they've taken the YouTube version off the air.... scratch

I gotta admit, though, I only watched and replayed the first 10-15 seconds where they showed the dance teams/cheer girls....starting out with the Montana Griz and UCLA.

And you had to love those ladies from FGCU.... bom

According to Ken Pomeroy, coming into the Final Four weekend, Louisville was statistically the best defensive team in the nation…..but then the Cardinals played what might have been the two best offensive games and the two worst defensive games of season in the Final Four to win it all. Basketball is weird.

But as Coach Wolf says:
“It's dynamic & unpredictable. It's correlated not causal. It's why they play the games. Gotta love it!!

Nice shot of Tubby and Howland during the line "the time is short." Twisted Evil

Wichita State is hardly in the thing after making the Final Four, but I like all the FGCU shots.

Excellent game by both sides. I was worried for a while, but Louisville was able to pull it out for me and I got 3rd out of 124 entries at work.

To show how important picking the winning team is in the espn tournament format of 10 pts per win in the round of 64 20 per win in 32, 40 per win...etc up to 320 points for picking the champion... The first 24 places went to people with brackets that had Louisville as the champion.

Personally, I like the 1 point, 2 points, 3 points...up to 6 points for picking the champion better. It's more rewarding to those who pick well all along the way.

Louisville’s Coach Rick Pitino said he get a tattoo if his Cardinals won the NCAA Championship……well, he kept his promise and kept it BIG!

I’m sure the players could convince Rev to go the distance too for simply winning the WCC crown.

Kept climbing, though. Had a special climbing shoe prosthetic.
And, of course, there's Hugh Herr who lost both legs and continues to climb using prosthetics....but I know you know him, or at least know of him.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Herr

I climbed with Hugh a few times. I couldn't really keep up with his energy, though. That was back when he was 17 or 18.( I was a LOT older) he went through climbers in shifts-wear one out, then get another to finish the day. The key was to be the last guy in the chain.

I got Hugh in touch with the other guy and Hugh helped him design his climbing foot.

He became an MIT prof working on active leg technology

After what happened in Boston with people losing legs, Hugh's name popped up again in the NYT.
